Standard AFNOR NF T72-281: The results obtained by IBL SPECIFIK
IBL Specifik has developed high-end equipment that has achieved the airborne disinfection standards (= airborne surface disinfection standards) with the disinfecting agent APABIO.
The standard in question is the standard NF T 72 281. It is a French standard for determining bactericidal, yeast, fungicidal and sporicidal activity for the disinfection of surfaces by air.
The airborne disinfection devices IBL Specifik are compliant with the NF T72-281 standard, which guarantees their effectiveness.
Here is an excerpt of the results obtained for the couple device / product: AIRBIO / APABIO in 2010:
Tested strains | T = Control media count (average of 2 media) | E = Enumeration of test media - n'1 + n'2 (average of the 3 media) | d = reduction rate = disinfectant activity | Requirements NF T 72-281 standards |
Bactericidal activity | ||||
Pseudomonas aeruginosa CIP 103.467 |
T = 3,3 x 107 | E = 0 | d > 7,52 log | d ≥ 5 log |
Staphylococcus aureus CIP 4.83 |
T = 2,3 x 107 | E = 0 | d > 7,36 log | d ≥ 5 log |
Yeast activity | ||||
Candida albicans ATCC 10-231 |
T = 1,7 x 106 | E = 0 | d > 6,23 log | d ≥ 4 log |
Fungicidal activity | ||||
Aspergillus niger ATCC 16.404 |
T = 4,5 x 106 | E = 0 | d > 6,65 log | d ≥ 4 log |
Sporicidal activity | ||||
Bacillus subtilis CIP 52.62 |
T = 4,0 x 106 | E = 0 | d > 6,60 log | d ≥ 3 log |
The couple device / product: AIRBIO / APABIO has a bactericidal activity on Pseudomonas aeruginosa CIP 103.467, yeast control on Candida albicans ATCC 10-231, Fungicide on Aspergillus niger ATCC 16.404 and sporicide on Bacillus subtilis CIP 52.62 by air according to the methodology of standard NF T 72-281 (May 2009) for a dose between 10 and 14 ml/m3 and for 2 hours of contact time, after the diffusion time of the product.
